  The balance between beautifully calm while also maintaining an uneasy feeling during almost the whole runtime formed an amazingly interesting story. Everything about Purple Noon is calm and pretty, the slow pacing ensures this, but you feel just as comfortable as the story evolves, even though Tom continues digging himself a hole. It's dynamic, well crafted, wonderfully shot and authentic. Simply delightful
