Pocahontas 1995
Puts most of its skill points into the visuals, which are some of Disney’s best and most striking, everything else is just kinda there. Noticeably a lot more serious and less funny than other Disney “classics,” which is probably why this wasn’t one of my favorites as a young boy. Interesting that the voice of reason when it comes to the immigration and assimilation of different people groups and cultures is played by Mel Gibson. Colors of the Wind one of the most resonant pieces of sound to be produced by humans.

Cinderella 1950
Pretty and hollow, just like Cinderella’s famous glass slippers. Some of the songs almost moved me to tears but the overall package here is quite unremarkable.
