A romcom drama that lightly tackles mental health issues and having a slump in your 30s. The flashback school rivalry scenes were the funniest. A little generic and forgettable towards the end, but still enjoyable to watch especially in the beginning. Skip this if you’re looking for a medical drama, since this doesn’t have much of those scenes.

Didn’t expect to like this as much as I did! Has even more depth and heart compared to the first installment as Riley navigates her teens. Liked the easily digestible way of introducing the new characters. Recommended for both kids and adults alike, as there’s something for all ages to enjoy and learn from this film.

Was expecting more world-building and an origin story as this is a prequel. Didn’t quite resonate with the two main characters emotionally, even though they were at the center of the plot. Would’ve appreciated brighter lighting in scenes with the notebook/papers and subtitles to understand when characters were whispering. Liked the other films in this franchise better.
