  A wacky yet layered sci-fi story, with a unique story that was intriguing to explore.

  I don’t exactly know how to explain what I feel but it was entertaining & looked amazing - not sure what I expected but it definitely went a way that I didn’t foresee, especially with the new planet’s native creatures.

  Really appreciated Pattinson’s lead performance(s?), and thought Ruffalo’s over the top satirical was played just right accompanied by Toni Collett. And as always Steven Yeun  just did exactly what he needed to.

  Difficult to explain exactly what this film makes you think but definitely captures the directionless, hopelessness and hopefulness of dealing with the subject matter - trauma, addition, loneliness. This is majorly due to two things: 1, the settings - beautiful and expansive, eerie and isolated - and 2,  Saoirse Ronan’s performance, acutely portraying every nuance in each different stage of the character’s journey.
