This is when the quality of the Farrelly Brothers comedies started to slide. On paper, Jim Carey and the Farrelly Brothers should mean guaranteed comedy gold (just look at what they did with Dumb and Dumber), but that was not the case here. While the laughs are there, the screenplay is all over the place and makes the film just a jumbled mess.

There's Something About Mary 1998
When this movie came out in 98, it was all anyone would talk about. It was also one of those films where you didn’t want to say too much about it either to not ruin it for anyone who hadn’t seen it. This is one of the best comedies to come out of the 1990’s and still holds up today.
