A brief few thoughts. Whilst there is a lot of fan service, there is so much to love in entry. Cailee Spaeny and David Jonsson are impressive leads, and demonstrate you don’t need big stars to make this work. The vast majority of SFX/visual effects are mostly flawless (…mostly). Solid direction from Fede Alvarez and some interesting gambles in the third act. Easily the most entertaining and in-keeping instalment since Aliens, a far more back-to-basics approach pays off in spades.…

Back in Time 2015
So i've seen a lot of Back to the Future documentaries. This has a lot more focus on the effects of the movies rather than the construction of them, which is it's strongest asset - but as a whole documentary there is no consistent flow or continuity to the piece which is disappointing. To be any good, it needed either to be about 4 hours long - or to be an interactive home media release where you just watched segments on individual subjects that are featured. Really interesting, but unbalanced.

The Sum of All Fears 2002
Surprisingly enthralling adaptation with good performances from Affleck and Freeman. It's slow to build up, and rushes the end... Goldsmith's score does't sit true to the visual for the latter half, but it ticks along nicely enough.
