This movie is a fast fun and silly wart on the world. Self-aware yet unself-aware. It is patronizing full stop. It is not ironically patronizing. It cannot break out of what it is. It is not a whole history of the period. It is sanctimonious and functions as a disavowing repression that leads people to continue marching toward the market through a cursory know-how.
