  everyone can agree that surfs up was ahead of its time! mockumentarys will always have a sweet spot in my heart but here the effect is displayed perfectly. From cameras shaking to boom mics appearing the whole film is displayed to be shot through A lense. the story although predictable is beautifully carried out and can resonate with all who have lost passion for a hobby. the incredible shots of the beaches and waves hold up to modern day animation in a way that shocks me to my core. I would recommend this film with anyone with a remote interest with surfing.
