This movie felt like I was drowning, and I stared at the screen with a perpetual look of bewilderment for two hours. Maybe three times over the course of the film, I felt like I finally resurfaced, took a breath, and could see that a true masterpiece was unfolding before me. But each time that happened, the movie kicked me back under water and reminded me that what I was watching was not a masterpiece and was in fact dogshit.
