I rewatched Sinister to see if my opinion had changed, and it has not yet.
Sinister starts out as one of the scariest films I've ever seen, the problem is that halfway through it falls off massively. Once you're done with all the found footage parts, and the film starts explaining what's going on, it loses its fear factor.

Probably best to not blame Noa for tagging along with someone she barely knows, and probably better to blame Steve for being Steve.
Fantastic camerwork and set design, as well as an amazing soundtrack to compliment this film.
