Wild at Heart 1990
“I’m a robber… and a manslaughterer… and I have no parental guidance”
Absolute fever dream despite the straightforward narrative. Loved the americana elements, seeing all the Lynch regulars and of course watching Nicholas Cage behave like a character straight out of Looney Tunes.
And of course, I’m badly craving a cigarette after this film (that fucking match cut transition from a cigarette being lit to the yellow lines of another highway speeding past is one of my favorite transitions in any Lynch film now, like damn)

This was my 4th time watching FWWM, 2nd time in theaters and 1st time in a theater by myself. I say that because you wouldn’t expect my 4th viewing of this film to be the one that breaks me, and yet here I am typing my review up in my car, completely and totally levelled.
