Watching Weerasethakul's movies is like getting unstuck in time. Haunting and beautiful.
I see how this could remind of Bergman or Kieslowski, its really trying to say a lot with very little, but it doesn't really manage to do that in my opinion. Has some really nice shots, good atmosphere at some points but I found it really average most of the time. I understand what it wants to say, but find the way it does very mediocre.
It feels artificial to me, lacks a kind of raw sincerity that Bergman or Kieslowski has.
