Guy Ritchie movies mostly have their unigue own
style which comes very much to fluition in this film. The cast all around is amazing and is one of the biggest strenght of The Gentlemen and maybe even the biggest.
Story wise this movie pretty much offers nothing really of substance if you sort of deconstruct the “multiple layer“ of this movie, which the movie of course does for you then  you left with a very bland brittish gangster movie.

Kind of an oscar-bait movie but its really effective with it. The story of love and also corruption is pretty evident and also based on a true story. This movie also brought Rachel Weisz her first and only oscar for her performance as Tessa Quayle. The cast all around is fantastic even Voldemort as the protagonist and the movie has a pretty decent look aswell while switching places lots of time.
Some moments felt a lot more clichee then others…

Licorice Pizza is one of the funniest as well as one of the warmest and visually most beautiful films of recent years.
Rarely have I seen a film in which you can lose yourself so deeply and in which the characters, who are portrayed with outstanding acting performances, grow so naturally close to your heart.
The film lives from the funny and clever dialogues and you quickly find yourself in many of the film's themes and you’re glued to the…
