    Wow...
I have to preface by saying that I'm a huge fan of Man of Steel, as well as Batman v Superman (Ultimate Edition). This is the longest movie I've ever watched in my entire life, and it is far from the slowest, and does not feel like the longest. Zack as well as writer Chris Terrio (among others) provide an incredibly paced story, that doesn't drag or miss a beat.

This movie plays out like a mythological epic of…

“When I was a little kid my mother told me not to stare into the sun. So once when I was six I did."
Imagine taking an advanced mathematics course taught by John Nash while Aphex Twin plays a concert in your subconscious.
The black and white aesthetic makes this movie look even more chaotic than it already is.
    Basically, Darren Aronofsky rocks.

Kirk Douglas rocks as per usual. Yet another Kubrick film that puts him so far ahead of his time. So many beautifully shot one-takes, and for a film from the late 50's the practical effects combined with the performances make for a superbly made war-piece, that stands tall among some of the 21st century entries which are over-saturated with special effects.

Watching Kirk Douglas and George McCready butt heads combined with perpetually exploding dirt makes for a great use of 88 minutes.
