Finally got this one under the belt… I haven’t seen any of Guadagnino’s other films but this gives big auteur vibes. Even more surprised after watching this that it didn’t get at least nominated for best score or cinematography or even editing honestly.

Very interesting, I much appreciate how Iranian cinema is focused on the little things rather than wanting to keep your attention at any given moment. I really liked how the music was implemented to show how the child’s perception of his situation changes over time, especially with how the genre of the music also changes. Once that clicked, I liked this film a whole lot more.
