Watching this for the first time, it was a riveting experience. The cinematography really stood out to me for a few reasons. The shots were, for the most part, very long. This was great for building tension. I also noticed, as did many others before me, that the camera started the film aimed down towards the jurors. First of all, incredible vibes. The acting, directing, writing, sound design, set design, costume design, and lighting are all so succinctly 2000s/90s. I've literally had so much fun watching this film and I have zero negative things to say about its production. Obviously, there is a lot of sensitive subject matter dealt with within this film but I think it is handled expertly and with care. It doesn't use mental illness or general insecurities as a punch line even though characters in the film do and it really rides that line well. 10/10 no notes. I will be watching it again.

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
I'm so deeply sad and disappointed in this film! It had no identity and no sense of direction. The characters were flat. The story was flat. The visuals and lighting were fun but the costumes were way too over the top for something so milquetoast in execution. I cannot believe I was excited to watch this film and I cannot believe it got past the initial test screenings like this!
