Watching this movie and realizing that Christine’s relationship with her “warm and scary” mother is not that diverging from what you go through every day is honestly “spiritually awakening”. They love each other, but they don’t like each other. There is not a balance between 2 strong ass personalities, and there will never be, you just have to learn how to live with it.
