A life long comfort film. If you dislike it you are heartless. A fun comedy that utilises the period to detach itself from the annoying synmantics of the modern world. Bro is just a homie on a horse with a joust, ain’t not much more deeper than that. And he’s gotta get the damsel? Cmon just allow yourself to enjoy good things in life. While every Studio Ghibli film is remarkable and hold a certain feeling no matter how many re-watches, The cat returns will always be my favourite. I will admit Howl’s and Spirited Away are better crafted as a whole and more vivid. Something about chillin and running around as a cat is so comforting. So yeah this is just my comfort film.
