  Haven't seen a ton of Zemeckis, but between this, Gump, and Here (which i didn't see), I'm really noticing his obsession with humanism (in a really...70s optimistic "we are lost but we can find our way" hippy way) and the passage of time.   Pattinson is one of our finest actors, sheesh. Bong's worldbuilding is really great, the creatures are so well designed with being alien yet earth-like, gross yet cute. He has this thing in his American films where he has western actors be extremely cartoonish that I'm not always a fan of, and I think the sauce thing was funny but a little heavyhanded without always being clear what the point is. I relate deeply to 17 lol. Sorta not sure why Steven Yuen is here though
