I kinda love how you can guess that the boy is being abused and assume that it's a horror about generational trauma, but it becomes so much more sinister than that. We go from thinking "oh this family is a little odd" to "this isn't a family at all" within the span of the movie. There's so much to talk about, but Bens' ability to be so enamored by the way Paddy lives even though it is an artificial life…
