The Brutalist 2024
Few movies evoked such ambivalent emotions as this one. On one hand, it’s a masterfully crafted, grand depiction of post-war immigrants’ struggles in the US and the lingering trauma of the Holocaust. It felt more like reading a well-paced novel, than a film, accompanied by an exceptional soundtrack, and watching it in two parts likely deepened the experience.
