Who gives this a bad review?!

What this movie says about humanity through animals is incredible. It says a whole lot without saying one word of dialogue. We’re all different and have our own personalities but we also all gotta co-exist of the raft called life. Capybara for the win though.

Also, I was not expecting that ending but man it got me. The more living you do, the greater sometimes the loss can be but it’s always good to have someone you can lean on.

Thought there was going to be a lot more sex but instead got a fascinating examination of competitive athletes and what drives them.

Zendaya and Josh O'Connor are great and charismatic but the real standout here is the banger score - downloading now. Truly a great showcase of how a unique score can elevate a film.

If anything I would’ve liked more on the careers of the characters post-college (did Patrick have a drug problem? Is that why he is broke?!) and less love triangle but still loved this film a lot.

A stunning spectacle. I was not expecting this film to tackle so many human emotions with insects but hey that’s Miyazaki for you.

The creative and strange worlds and stories that Miyazaki builds is so unique and unlike anyone else. It’s got a little Dune mixed with a little Starship Troopers but with a wonderful story and a strong princess kicking ass with her heart and head.

I would love to see this one on the big screen.

This film was criminally buried over the summer blockbuster releases but I’m so happy it’s gotten another release right before the Oscars.

Incredible story with some amazing performances. None greater than Clarence “Divine Eye” Maclin who gives one of my favorite performances of the year. He’s charismatic but also menacing and the fact that this is his debut on screen is remarkable.

I hope this film gets more awards buzz and if “Divine Eye” ain’t up for an Oscar, the whole nominating process needs an overhaul.
