You Are Alone 2005
Thematically I love this movie. Jessica Bohl is great in this small budget indie film. The exploration of depression and loneliness with the two character's looks at the darker and damaged coping mechanisms people fall into when trying to deal with their own trauma. I thought the reveal at the end was a nice twist and frames the movie in a different light. Emotional, insightful, clever, and though not perfect, it was delicately executed.

Dune: Part Two 2024
Personally I feel this film suffers from “too much story to tell in too little screen time”. Visually beautiful and engaging the whole time, but story flow, character development, motivations, character/plot resolutions felt more like bullet points instead of organic progression. The big moments didn’t hit my feelings hard enough in order to earn that level of the epic experience. Imo it needed another hour or some of the story should have been shifted to part one.

I Am Dragon 2015
I love this movie so much. A fairytale in all of the right ways. Perfectly cast, great cinematography, great visuals and music. This moves me every time I watch it.
