  great gowns gorgeous gowns etc. lily rose depp outdid all of her fathers roles no question about it its not even close. the men in this movie did not deliver one bit unfortunately. the visuals and lily carried. whimsy factor was high

  Severely underwhelmed. Any attempted commentary was hamfisted with 0 subtlety or tact even though it's for an adult audience. The entire movie had the essence of (white) feminist girl power anti-patriarchy but fell short of making any sort of meaningful message against the status quo and instead opted to go 🤷‍♀️ well that's just what it's like to be human! The very ending was completely unconvincing. Not surprised that the politics of this movie were extremely liberal white feminist (they voted out the fascist dictatorship lmaooo). Not impressed.

  Should've focused more on the colonial aspect and work of people on the ground like Brig. Too much of an emphasis on American national security (settler colonial state whose military is one of the biggest polluters in the world). There was some brief criticism of America near the end but should have been more of a focus. Also don't appreciate the framing of "China" "Russia" etc as monolithic entities yet America is just "Wall Street". Too liberal, needs a stronger anti colonial backbone to be powerful. Good topic but capitalism/colonialism under emphasized.
