  The beaver costumes were cute and charming and I really wanted to root for those furry goofballs. But this film was way too long, and I kept looking at my watch. I wonder if I would have had more fun watching it with a group. (probably as it was intended) I even had a respectable serving of booze with my viewing, but alas, it made this no more enjoyable. I'm disappointed because I was looking forward to this movie more…

  My Kitchen Lover 2018

  This was super silly, and kind of irritating. I know nothing of this director and was surprised to discover this Mandarin language comedy stars Kpop idol Kim Ki-bum from Super Junior. He's an American (?) popstar named Wind, who comes to China to do some concerts. And then there''s the romance part. The Luo family loves crayfish, runs a crayfish restaurant, and one of them even has one as a pet that talks. She's the love interest. I only watched this for Yuen Wah (credited as Yung Kai Chi!), and looked forward to seeing an exuberant and goofy performance. That part of the film delivered.

  I don't even know where to begin. This misogynist classic has everything - action, songs, Akshay Kumar, the bird from Birdemic, the Terminator, the Matrix and an invincible serpent man who vows to kill everyone. Entertainment overload.
