Updating this to add an actual review; I put this movie off for years after I was supposed to see it in theaters with my sister the Christmas it came out. I wish I had, and would have loved it even more so. Yeah, there's some quirky dumb stuff in this movie, but ultimately the message it sends is so true to life, and the photography aspect resonates with me deeply. One of those movies where I expected nothing going in, and now is one of my favorites. I loved the ending so much

Thought I was going to like this a lot more than I did, and am definitely in the "I hated the ending" group. The colors/visuals were great though and Willem Dafoe is basically the only reason I stuck it out
