    This feels like someone’s first film - very loose plot progression… but it’s James mcAvoy at Bristol uni in the 80s and it was pretty funny so it gets a solid 3 stars

    unfortunately unbelievable lead whose “complexity” comes from neglect of the two children who she leaves with anyone and everyone, and then sleeps with them on their way out. Truly ridiculous courtroom scenes - I thought this with Anatomy of a Fall - “god almighty I would not want to be tried by a French court”! They submit literally anything as evidence… This film is the less successful version of Anatomy of a Fall.

    I wish female complexity could be shown without a female lead being overly sexed up and perpetually in a mini skirt … it’s not enough for the lauding it gets
