Late Night with the Devil 2023
Despite the AI generated stills for the little intervals, this was pretty cool. At least they mostly used gnarly practical VFX for the gore! Yes there was obvious CGI for certain parts but overall Its a great concept and awesome style. Pretty similar to all the standard Beatles documentaries however mixed with small gems of unseen footage of The Beatles.I felt a tad disappointed with certain lead ups like with The Beatles first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show. Midas Man 2024
Critics give this movie a hard time but personally I think the actors and accents are fairly spot on. Yes there were no actual Beatles songs and John looks 5ft 4 but it's difficult to make a movie about the manager of the greatest band ever without said band overshadowing the main character, Brian. Pacing was ok but overall left me feeling a little disinterested. Definitely a missed opportunity but still if you’re a Beatles fan like me, it’s worth the watch.
