Although I really enjoyed the way this film was shot, especially the framing of the urban landscapes of Tokyo and the minimal but intentional camera moves, there was little else to enjoy. Neither was there a lot happening at all, nor was the theme of privacy and autonomy vs. security explored beyond the level of a highschool philosophy class. And then the company installing the cameras is called Panopty? Come on...
