  The cinematography was groundbreaking. The score was excellent. The script was completely self-indulgent and narcissistic. I had high-hopes that Garland would do the subject matter justice and not make it cringeworthy - which he unfortunately failed in doing. I think the world understands how awful war is without "poking fun" at it in the most disturbing way possible. Furthermore, the film dehumanizes journalists in a way that is just never really true. The director continues the trope of depicting war-photographers…
