The setup towards the twist came a late for, otherwise it would’ve been more impactful. Besides that it was a fun and not too long film in which both Mirren and McKellen are great!

Gladiator II 2024
I really enjoyed Gladiator II, albeit I generally love stories set in this period in time. I was glad it didn’t rely solely on nostalgia, but I would have liked for it to have more of its own distinct story and identity. Mescal filled his role well, though a bit ‘stale’ here and there? Personally, I feel like the film could’ve been longer so that more of Pascal and Washington’s characters’ background and motivations could have been explored.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom 2018
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
In some parts it brings an interesting twist to the franchise. I like the political and ethical debate about the survival or re-extinction of the dinosaurs, and how people might exploit them for bad intentions (e.g. war, having as a pet, etc.)
That said, I'm still not a fan of the DNA-spliced dinosaurs. I think the Indominus Rex from the first World-film was okay, but anóther spliced 'apex predator' in JW2 felt like a rehash.
Pratt and Dallas-Howard are okay–they're fun enough to carry the franchise–and Goldblum's small return was a nice touch.
