I don’t claim to be an expert on architecture or Brutalism as a movement, but taking the National Theatre, there is something oppressive and harsh about its appearance. Makes total sense then to see the life of Tóth and how his oppression, pain and very existence is injected into his work. Adrian Brody is superb, as is Guy Pearce and Felicity Jones and the whole cast. Brady Corbet has constructed a phenomenal, theatrical masterpiece - the intermission is a perfect moment and you really sense that end of Act One build up to it!!

An intriguing take on the Sci-Fi Artificial Intelligence genre. I won’t say any more on it as, in my mind, it is the crux of the film. But very clever and well worth the watch!!

Enjoyed this! A Brilliantly directed (from George Miller), high octane extension to the Mad Max world… but with a difference. Anya Taylor Joy is ace as Furiosa and the relationship between her and Burke’s Praetorian Jack is not clichéd at all. Always refreshing to see strong, resilient and revengeful women doing the killing and the saving.

It was enjoyable and Jake Gyllenhaal is as ever, top notch. The film is what it is - ticks a box and delivers a relatively formulaic storyline with inoffensive dialogue. Connor McGregor makes his debut acting appearance and personally, I think it might be best if that was that. It would have been difficult to go far wrong with his character, but believe me, he was treading a fine line throughout.
