Challengers 2024
Truly exhilarating film. Breathtaking performances from the three leads. The way tennis is framed and shot here feels so authentic, more so than any tennis on screen before. The score adds so much energy to every match - how could you not watch tennis again and not have a techno club mix on top of it. Mostly in awe of the final sequence, when it lights on fire and the final 10 minutes are better than most action film endings - an incredible filmmaking achievement. It was electric. I cannot wait to watch it again.

This popped up in the carousel on Max for one of Greta’s inspo for Barbie and cannot believe I haven’t seen it! I didn’t want it to end - just a wonderfully transcendent film that I can see all the films it has influenced.
