Presence 2024
I thoroughly enjoyed Presence. It's too bad the marketing department decided to call it "the scariest film this year" or whatever. So many good movies get fucked over by that misleading claim. This film isn't even meant to be "scary" per se. Luckily I know to take that with a grain of salt since practically every single horror movie that comes out is called "the scariest since..." in the trailers.

No One Will Save You 2023
What a strange, unique, little movie. Pretty much not a single bit of dialogue. Even managed to give a bit of exposition regarding her past, without a word spoken. I love me some home invasion horror, as well as alien invasion horror, and despite the tropes being very overused over the span of probably thousands of movies, this managed to give a refreshing take on both. Regardless of whether or not the lack of dialogue was gimmicky, I appreciated it.

The Thing is pretty much one of my favorite movies of all time, regardless of genre, but I really wish it didn't start out showing the alien ship approaching Earth. It would have been a much better idea to reveal that later on when they actually discover the craft, keeping us all just as in the dark as the characters were.
