  my comfort film. it makes me cry the perfect amount. reminds me of my grandmother. 
  while watching the movie i came up with a theory. what if, before the nursing home people came to his door, he died that morning and him ascending into the sky was his soul leaving his body? he’s now in ‘paradise’, aka heaven, and could finally be in the place he’s always wanted to be, Paradise Falls. he’s on a mission to find his Ellie in heaven. Russell is their miscarried baby, who Carl was reunited with. 
  just a theory.

  one of those movies that has you staring in disbelief, shock and disturbance watching the credits roll. my mind could not comprehend or understand how somebody could create a concept so fucked up.
  very disturbing. not so creepy or ‘scary’ or thrilling, just so fucking disturbing. the entire movie was uncomfortable but i love it. ari aster needs therapy. a genius. 
  i wouldn’t change anything about it. don’t watch if you’re squeamish or sensitive to gore/blood.

  I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! i adore it with everything in me. watching this movie hits different. perfect cinematography, perfect setting, perfect cast, perfect plot, perfect director, perfect costume design, perfect movie, perfect people, perfect music, perfect everything

  i can’t express that enough. no flaws to be seen. none! period. my fav.
