  I think it's a movie that borrows so much from other, more acclaimed counterparts and that is to it's detriment. It's more dark comedy than it is psychological thriller, I feel like it could have worked better with a much more concise theme and premise.
  The acting is absolutely brilliant and the established color code littered so many Easter Eggs and metaphors around that really inriched Kravitz' storytelling for me, while faltering at minor points in consistency and the assault scene that didn't quite sit right with me, it's a very strong directorial debut for Zoe Kravitz.

  If I had seen this when I was a kid I would've thought it was the finest piece of cinema to exist, unfortunately a lot of problems arise when you don't have the comprehension skills of an 8 year old.
  For starters the movie takes itself far too seriously for its own good, and an unimaginative collage of 2000s tropes such as this one finds itself unable to cement itself into the collective unconscious, lost to the ages.
