It's a lovely movie, beautifully shot and has some really remarkable scenes. The idea is right up my alley so I knew I was going to enjoy this, but it exceeded expectations.
Now, this movie won't do a ton of exposition, just the details of how their vampirism works but anything that's going on between characters and even between scenes isn't going to be overtly explained. So paying proper attention (note any non-french speakers will watch with subtitles) is required…
