this film made me thought daughter for a multitude of reasons:

i.) the title is so smart. birds usually fly in flocks, and the film perfectly captured the teenage dilemma of finding one's flock. this is evident throughout the film's different segments wherein lady bird hopped from the friends she made in the theatrical club to the popular kids in her school. she did this all in an effort to fit in or make herself feel worthy because note how…

JUST THAT DESCRIPTION ALONE "this is not a love story, this is a story about love" YES!!! it did not only depict a romance, but it explored the dynamics and the complexities of love – how each person has their own boundaries, how the lines between those boundaries blur over time, how people become locked in their people-pleasing echo-chambers in favor of keeping the piece at the expense of their internal satisfaction.
