Deadly Manor 1990
Where deadly manor lacks in typical slasher trappings, gore, fun kills etc, it makes up for in atmosphere, lots and lots of atmosphere. There is a solid 70 minutes of characters exploring an old abandoned mansion in the Adirondacks and I loved every second of it.
Bonus points for a kick ass Godzilla t shirt and an opening scene featuring fucking Big Boy!

Such a great metaphor for the hilarity and stupidity of war. In particular the Spanish civil war.
2 clowns fight for the affection of a curvy trapeze artist (Spain), one is heavy handed and drunk (the Nationalist) while the other is sweet timid (the republic). It takes almost a full movie of abuse for the timid clown to finally snap and go on a rampage but when he does it's a thing of beauty.
I really also commend the ending for telling it like it is, nobody gets the girl(Spain) but the church.
