I recently rewatched this on TV and it brought back memories of how much I've loved this film. Its iconic theme tune, the ride to the graveyard and many other features send it soaring to the top of the list of great westerns (along with other classics such as 'The Searchers') . I would also recommend watching Akira Kurosawa's fantastic 'Seven Samurai' upon which John Sturges based this film.

I really like this film. How can you not? Alicia Silverstone is perfect as Cher and she is matched by Paul Rudd's Josh. It's funny, smart and like totally brilliant! Jane Austen for the mid '90s. I watched it again after decades and it's as fresh as ever. The soundtrack rocks too! Fondly remembering the late Britanny Murphy who left us way too soon.

This is, in my humble opinion, possibly the greatest film made by a Hollywood studio. It is virtually perfect in terms of direction, cinematography, production values and screenplay. It is only slightly let down by the penultimate scene where Shindler talks about how many more Jews he could have saved. I feel that it rings hollow. It's a minor quibble about an incredible film.

I will readily admit that there are better offerings from Disney but for nostalgic reasons, this has always been my favourite. I associate it with my childhood, in the days when the only way you could see Disney films was at the cinema. Something about it sends me into a warm and fuzzy cocoon of memories. Peter, Wendy, John, Nana... and of course Captain Hook. I never tire of watching it.
