  I find the trees a bit more compelling than the forest here. It's a collection of really beautiful moments between likeable people. The performances are outstanding, the monologues are quotable, and Elliot Smith is almost too appropriate. The overarching love narrative just feels a bit too thin to hold the emotional depths that they're grappling with.
