This movie is fun. I think it suffers from Dutch Disease in that they knew just how great Chalamet was at playing Dylan (specifically singing) and really went all in on the songs. Sure it’s a musician biopic, but the story can’t really be progressed when the main thing happening during the songs is widepan shots of people thinking “this kid’s good”. Norton and Barbaro were great as well, arguably better than Chalamet. All in all, I think this could have been even better if they opted for more story and less singing (which will never match the magic of the originals)
