    A superbly crafted little gem of a movie, and a great way to kick off Sydney Film Festival 2015. Absolutely gorgeous cinematography combined with strong characters and a great script that straddles drama/comedy line perfectly swinging from gut-wrenching dramatic moments to Coen brothers-esque black comedy with ease.

    Strong performances from all involved nothing too attention grabbing, just exactly what is needed in the moment. I think that reflects this film as a whole, at a runtime of only 85 minutes or so, it doesn't waste a moment in getting across a lot of content that leaves a lasting impact.

    So I didn’t absolutely hate this film, but it does have major flaws. Overall I think Nicholas Winding Refn is an extremely talented director and his direction in this film is near Kubrickian meticulousness. (For the record I am also a big fan of Drive and Bronson, much more so than this film).
