Good thriller with great pacing. I really didn’t like the father character… Felt that his lack of action was a little unbelievable given the circumstances.

Also, don’t love the trope of escaping disaster only to have to go back into the fray for…. A stuff animal.

Incredible story that centers around the human experience in post-war Japan. Godzilla acts more as a McGuffin than the centerpiece of the film, which works well here.

Biggest surprise of 2024, and I couldn’t recommend this movie enough.

An Indiana Jones movie that has been modernized for new audiences while still paying due homage to the original trilogy.

Unlike KoTCS, this adventure for Indy involves a MacGuffin that has historical significance rather than extraterrestrial. While the ending plot twist may leave some people rolling their eyes, I thought it was fairly well executed. With that said, I do think the dismount could have been a bit tighter and less ambiguous.

For me, this would slot in at number 3 in the Indy rankings behind Last Crusade and Raiders.

Awesome performance by Voldemort. One of the bigger surprises of 2022, and certainly a unique story. Only real knock against the movie is that the stakes for ATJ’s character never really felt high, even with all of the chaos going on around her.
