Dune: Part Two 2024
I don’t think it’s as good as everyone has been saying. It’s not movie of the decade, it’s not top 5 sci-fi’s of the decade either. The score is great as usual with Zimmer, but it’s not used terribly effectively. The only villain I even notice is Austin Butler’s, the saradukar have a massive falloff from the first film and the emperor isn’t meanacing. The fremen are always just “better” and you don’t have any doubt they’re gonna win. Paul lost his emotional struggle halfway through and jessica is still annoying and doesn’t have any emotional conflicts like in the first.
