Dazed and Confused 1993
Joyous. Linklater as always perfect at capturing the urgency of a specific, fleeting moment in time. Love how low stakes everything is in this film. The gun that doesn’t kill, the mother that doesn’t punish, the threat of violence from the older kids that doesn’t amount to much. In the end, the only real imminent danger is that it all will, invariably, end (and that these might indeed be the best days of their lives).
