Never really gives you a sense of what’s happening in the country or what has led us to this point, other than saying it’s a dumpster fire without any rain in the forecast. But the acting is tops and the action is palpable.

Dark, funny, depressing, touching, lonesome. I’ve been to the Aran Islands and have read what life was like some hundred years ago. Seems to have captured that life, albeit with a wardrobe department.

The Gorge 2025
This tried way too hard to be way too many things: romance, action, sci-fi, espionage, thriller, etc. And very few of those options were done well. Pacing is all over the place. Tone is weird. And the payoff is almost non existent. ATJ and Whiplash do well with what they’re given, though, which is trite dialogue.
