  Pov movies usually just seem too gimmicky to me but I think it worked well in this one. Especially intercut with the macro shots, timelapse, and repurposed footage and photos. I will say there were a few moments where it felt pretty video-gamey which did take me out, especially with the ADR. Girl what is this let’s play. 

  Well, I’m a sucker for the macro shots. A lot of the cinematography in this was in the Noticing genre which I am a HUGE fan of. 

  Good stuff, can’t believe it didn’t swing a cinematography nom at the Oscar’s.

  It feels weird to criticize such a personal and emotional film, but I can't not think about this, and I have to get it out. It's really not as empowering as healthy people may think it is to comment on how strong someone who is sick is. It not only pushes their struggle as some kind of inspiration but it also diminishes the troubles their facing. There was one guy getting interviewed talking about how Jordan never complained or made…
