  I was always intimidated by how weird this one seemed combined with the 3hr run time. Now that I've finally seen it I can confidently say there's nothing you could possibly read, watch or listen to that will adequately prepare you for this movie. Truly one of a kind. A collage of deeply unsetting images and exchanges that just kinda worm their way into the brain and stick there. Weird stuff.. cool movie!

  This is gonna be the cheesiest thing I've ever put on the internet but I think the real reason I love this one so much is that it just me feel extremely lucky* that I (a kind of annoying, clumsy, goofy, opinionated, pseudo-intellectual dumb guy) gets to be married to his very own Celine. This movie pulls off something really special in a way I don't think any other movie can or will. One of my all-time favorites. 

  *lucky is not the right word but I'm not good enough at writing to describe it

  I really enjoyed all the opportunities I had to soy face to the references to Kubrick, Cronenberg and Lynch. My gripe with the movie is that the fall happens almost instantly with no real time to even enjoy the high. This isn't Boogie Nights where you get to really have a good time for an hour before the turn to despair, but irreversible despair and horror saturate the entire thing.
