Robert Eggers is one of the few modern directors I will go out of my way to make sure I see every new film he directs. The Lighthouse is one of my all time fave horror movies and there is a darkness and imposing aura he captures in long, quiet, lingering shots that I always find captivating...

The atmosphere in this movie is unmatched. The dark lighting and long silences create such a sense of worry that I genuinely think creates the greatest horror film of all time.

I also love that in every other film in the Alien franchise...ths Xenomorphs are relentless and simply can not be stopped unless they are dead, but in THIS…
